Will Harry shave his beard for the royal wedding?

The royal wedding is just around the corner and while many people are fussing over Meghan Markle’s dress, we’re asking the all-important question: will Prince Harry shave his beard for the big day?

It’s no secret the 33-year-old likes to sport the bearded look, but if Harry decides to continue this trend on his wedding day, he will officially become the first royal in modern history to have a beard when he says his ‘I do’s’.

His brother, William, father, Charles, and grandfather, Philip, were all clean-shaven for their wedding ceremonies.

So, not only will Harry be going against royal tradition if he wears a beard, he would also be going against the Queen’s wishes.

Her Majesty has reportedly expressed her distaste for facial hair.

However, it wouldn’t be the first time Harry breaks royal traditions with his hairy look.

According to The Mirror, Prince Harry broke a cardinal royal rule with his busy beard during his service of laying a wreath on Remembrance Sunday last November.

Throughout history, while some officers have been known to sport moustaches, it’s always been a rule that full facial beards are forbidden while on official duty.

“Prince Harry is letting us all down,” a member of the elite cavalry regiment told The Mirror at the time.

“There’s no place for beards in the Queen’s cavalry.

“He should have shaved it off for such an important day.”

After copping a fair bit of backlash over this decision, it will be interesting to see if he will keep his facial fuzz for the big occasion.

But you never know, it’s his wedding after all and hey, maybe Meghan is a fan of the rugged look.
