Will these be Meghan Markle's bridesmaids?

The royal wedding is fast approaching, and with Prince Harry already confirming his best man will be Prince William, speculation is on the rise about who will stand beside Meghan Markle on the big day.

While many are quick to assume the Duchess of Cambridge will be in Meghan’s bridal party, it’s highly unlikely that will be the case, as Kate has just given birth to her third child, and didn’t even step into that role for her sister Pippa’s wedding last year.

Meghan’s own half sister Samantha Markle, is even less likely to be crowned maid of honour, as the siblings have been estranged for the past decade. It remains doubtful that Samantha – who almost published a book on Meghan called the ‘Pushy Princess’ – will be invited to the wedding at all.

So the question remains, who will be the future princess’ bridesmaids?

We’re making an educated guess that the following might make the cut:

Millie Mackintosh

Reality TV star and model Millie Mackintosh, became friends with Meghan over the summer of 2016 after a girls’ trip to Soho Farmhouse in Oxfordshire.

They have since remained close, with reports suggesting she’s already played a large part in organising the upcoming wedding.

“They [Meghan and Millie] have a really close relationship and Millie has been a real source of support to Meghan during her move from Toronto and her new life in London,” a source revealed to the Daily Mail.

The 28-year-old Made in Chelsea star’s fiancé Hugo Taylor also hinted she would be there after revealing that he wouldn’t be attending but he “doesn’t know” if Millie is. Chances are, he really does know but doesn’t want to ruin the surprise.

And Millie is no stranger to the royals either, as her co-star and close friend Spencer Matthews’ brother James Mathews is married to Pippa Middleton, Kate’s sister. Furthermore, her fiancé Hugo is rumoured to have had a fling with Princess Eugenie.

Jessica Mulroney

Jessica is up as a front-runner for the position of bridesmaid or maid of honour.

The Canadian fashion stylist became one of Meghan’s best friends after the two met on the set of TV show Suits, and according to The Sun, “although Jess lives in Toronto, the two are on the phone all the time.”

The pair shares passions for yoga and humanitarian work and even holidayed together in Italy last year, during the early stages of Meghan and Harry’s relationship.

She also specialises as a wedding planner, so there’s no doubt she’s been a big influence in the arrangements.

Plus, according to The Sun, Jessica recently touched down in London to assist in top-secret fittings ahead of Meghan’s royal wedding, meaning that so far, Jess is one of the only people that has been given a sneak peek of Meghan’s gown. If that doesn’t spell bridesmaid material then I don’t know what does.

Lindsay Roth

Lindsay and Meghan’s friendship goes right back to their days studying at Northwestern University together.

The two have remained friends for over 15 years with Meghan even being the maid of honour at 36-year-old Lindsay’s wedding two years ago.

“We’re the kind of friends who can be 3,000 miles away and still be talking about or thinking the same thing, and even texting each other the same thing at the same time miles away,” Lindsay once said in an interview with PEOPLE Magazine.

Lindsay also went on to write the book, What Pretty Girls Are Made Of in 2015, which featured an ambitious actress, said to be inspired by Meghan – and oh how far she’s come!
