Who will walk Meghan Markle down the aisle?
It’s the shocking family crisis that’s shaken Meghan Markle and threatened to derail her best laid wedding plans with just days to go before her May 19 nuptials to Prince Harry.
Following news her dad Thomas Markle will no longer be attending the wedding – or walking her down the aisle – there’s no doubt the actress and Kensington Palace are currently in serious crisis talks.
Thomas reportedly told website TMZ he had suffered a heart attack six days ago, and despite being determined to recover in time for the wedding, was then embroiled in a staged paparazzi photo scandal which saw him snapped looking at pictures of his daughter online.
Claiming he wants to spare his daughter and the royal family any further embarrassment, Thomas has bowed out of father-of-the-bride duties.

But it’s left the former Suits star scrambling for someone to walk her down the aisle.
Speculation is rife that Meghan’s mum Doria Ragland might be the one to step in and save the day.
The mother-daughter duo are notoriously close, with the yoga instructor already confirmed to be by the bride’s side on the day.
“Both of the bride’s parents will have important roles in the wedding,” a statement from Kensington Palace revealed earlier this month.
“On the morning of the wedding, Ms Ragland will travel with Ms Markle by car to Windsor Castle.”
There’s also talk that Prince Harry’s father, Prince Charles could also help Meghan on her big day, with PEOPLE reporting the royal has always been supportive of his future daughter-in-law.
“Charles has no other official duty during the wedding, and he and wife Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall have been excited to welcome Meghan into the family from the moment they announced their engagement,” PEOPLE claims.
Another name that has been thrown into the mix is Prince Harry’s brother, Prince William.
While Wills already has the role of Harry’s best man, royal insiders claim a precedent has been set in the past.
In 1960, Princess Margaret walked down the aisle on the arm of Prince Philip, the Queen’s husband and her brother-in-law, following the death of her father King George VI eight years earlier.
