William and Kate are keeping this 'secret' from Prince George

While Prince George has a massive future ahead of him – you know, leading a country and all – his parents William and Kate have decided to keep that little titbit from him for as long as they can.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are determined to make sure their children, Prince George, five, Princess Charlotte, three, and Prince Louis, three months, grow up under the least amount of pressure possible.

Even though the royal family is constantly in the spotlight, William has been quoted on numerous occasions stressing how ‘normal’ they are behind closed doors.

And in order to keep the weight of Prince George’s future off his shoulders for as long as possible, his parents have avoided explaining his role in the country’s future, according to the Mirror.

“There’ll be a time and a place to bring George up and understand how he fits in, in the world,” William said in a previous interview.

William himself said how he struggled with the fact while he was growing up.

“With George they are trying to delay that moment of realisation and give him normality before they thrust this on him,” Catherine Mayer, author of Charles: The Heart of a King, told E! News back in 2015.

Many commended the royals for their decision.

“They didn’t ask to be born into this situation,” one person commented online. “Good on Kate and William for trying to give them as normal a life as possible.”

Prince George, however, just celebrated his fifth birthday. And it will likely become harder and harder for his parents to put off having that talk.
