Woman accused of poisoning gossiping co-workers' coffee


A woman has been arrested for trying to murder her colleagues, by pouring deadly insecticide into their coffee.

The woman is accused of trying to kill her colleagues because they were gossiping about her supposed infidelity.

The 41-year-old was arrested in Serbia, with reports suggesting she allegedly poisoned the coffee but fortunately, the doses she placed into the hot beverages were not deadly.

Three people, two visitors and one employee, drank the poisoned coffee and were immediately taken to hospital to be treated.

Experts found an insecticide in the coffee which can be deadly, even in small amounts.

Fortunately, all three victims recovered and have since been released from hospital.

The woman faces between 10 and 40 years in prison if she is found guilty of attempted murder.

It is unclear if the suspect has yet been charged.
