Woman's hilarious prank to prove colleagues ignore her emails

A woman has gone to hilarious lengths to prove to her boss that no-one reads her ‘mandatory’ weekly update emails by pranking her colleagues.

Wanting to find out whether her emails were actually being read, Jordan, who works for Showpo, added a little extra line at the bottom of one of her updates.

“I’d also like to take this time to let you all know Matt and I are expecting! Little bubba on the way, due November,” she wrote at the end of the email before signing off.

But where she expected a big fan-fare and congratulations left, right, and centre, all she got instead was crickets. She was right.

Wanting to give everyone another chance she followed up with an invitation to her baby shower, and then her gender reveal, in subsequent emails, all of which were also ignored.

“Please note I will be on maternity leave from 28th May onwards,” she went on.

And would you believe it, there was still not a single peep from any of her colleagues.

Jordan decided to go out with a bang and announce – within just a few short months – that she had given birth to her baby boy Malachy.

FINALLY – someone realised what she had written and decided to decorate her desk for the ‘fake’ occasion. Of course this was also a prank, Showpo confirmed with Be.

And while the experiment was a raging success for Jordan, she sadly still has to send out the weekly updates.
