YouTube couple go to war with shock breakup videos

YouTube couple Trisha Paytas and Jason Nash have split after 12 months of dating.

But in a very modern dating story, the pair have shared different accounts of what caused their breakup — and it’s an actual online spar.

Trisha was the first to take their relationship breakdown public, taking to her YouTube account — blndsundoll4mj — to tell her 4 million followers she ended their romance because he fat-shamed her.

In her latest post titled “we broke up because I’m too fat” the 30-year-old broke down as she explained her ex had made an offhand comment recently when they were compared to another YouTube couple.

“He said, ‘Yeah, except me and Trish, we’re both fat,’” she said, quoting Jason. “I get a lot of fat comments and fat stuff on the internet … and everyone knows my struggle and insecurity, especially Jason… We had a fight about a week ago. I didn’t eat in front of him for a week.”

She went on to explain that while she’s used to getting negative comments about her weight from strangers online, this was too much.

As a result the social media star said she would be taking a “really, really long break from YouTube” while she tries to come to terms with her “pain”.

Hours later, Jason, 45 took to his YouTube account to tell his 2million subscribers that he didn’t call her fat.

He said he had never called her fat, but instead had expressed concerns for her health.

“I said, ‘Yeah, we’re overweight’ … so [Trisha] didn’t like that,” he said, describing the same incident from his perspective.

He also denied having a problem with his ex girlfriend’s weight, saying, “She’s the perfect size for me; I do not care”.

Sadly the former lovebirds are not the first YouTube couple to breakup to their fans, with social media power couple David Dobrik and Liza Koshy – AKA the Posh and Becks of YouTube – splitting up earlier this month.

The pair, who were an item since 2015, announced the shock news via a video on David’s YouTube channel that has since been watched more than 35million times.
