Kerri-Anne's happy snap celebrates her husband coming home

Four months ago Kerri-Anne Kennerley’s husband, John had a horrific balcony fall that put him in a coma.

Since the 75-year-old was hospitalised in March, his TV personality wife has barely left his side. John is out of his coma but suffered from spinal cord damage, which left him paralysed.

Yesterday, Kerri-Anne posted a happy snap to her Instagram account with a caption that said she would be taking her husband home.

“A quick trip back home to test out ramps and all that fun. Cannot wait to have John home again, only a couple more months to go,” she wrote.

The 62-year-old has got her home ready for hubby’s return. Access ramps have been installed in the entrance of their house.

John’s accident happened while the couple were in Coffs Harbour. They had been playing golf and were having a photo with fans before John slipped off a balcony and fell head first to the ground.

He has been in intensive care at the Royal North Shore Hospital in Sydney since. Kerri-Anne admitted on Seven’s Sunday Night that she has accepted her husband may never fully recover.

The distraught wife broke down during her interview when talking about the man she’s been married to for 32 years.

“My life, as I knew it, is over,” she said in April. “That was history. This is now a new life. Because he is my priority.”

John can now breathe on his own after having a tube recently removed – a massive step toward recovery.
