He may be tipped as the hot favourite to win Sophie Monk's heart, but Stu Laundy isn't counting his chickens before they hatch.
The Bachelorette intruder, who entered the mansion last week, has told TV Week that he's "risking a lot" to find love and is simply on the show to "chase happiness".
"I've been married, I've had kids. And just like the other guys, I've put everything on the line," the 44-year-old publican told the publication.
"This may be the biggest gamble of my life, but I'm here to chase happiness."
And it seems Stu is already smitten with Sophie despite not knowing each other for very long, admitting "for the right girl" he'd move anywhere.
"She's one of the most beautiful girls I've ever seen in my life," he adds to the mag. "At the end of the day, I needed to be here. I truly believe there's chemistry between us."
While it appears sparks flew instantly at their first meeting between the 37-year-old former Bardot singer and Stu, could it be because they already had a connection?
Sophie and Stu had previously had a failed date last year in Sydney, with the blonde beauty admitting she "stood him up" after she never showed up for a date on his boat.
Stu has previously spoken about their missed opportunity, telling The Daily Telegraph last week: "When I first met her it was excellent and I really wanted to meet her again, and I had to go through the rigmarole to do it."
Despite being coy on their connection, fans were sent into a spin after reject Ryan Jones shared a Bachelorette reunion snap over the weekend to Instagram, and despite being at one of the venue's Stu owns, the father-of-four was nowhere in sight.
"When your crews on point!" Ryan captioned the snap, joined by former love rivals James Trethewie, Jefferson De La Rosa, Pete de Gail, Luke McLeod and Sam Cochrane.
"Where is @stulaundy44 #atstuspub #bacheloretteau," the 26-year-old added cheekily, with the gang pictured at the publican's venue the Watson Bay Hotel.
