This Australian Idol winner is almost unrecognisable
This year marks nine years since Stan Walker shot to fame after winning the seventh and final season of Australian Idol.
However, recent images have emerged online looking almost unrecognisable and it is reportedly down to some undisclosed health issues.
"He has had some challenges healthwise but he will be back and working towards a new single release in March," his manager told Newshub New Zealand on Friday.
The statement came the same day the 27-year-old attended a dinner for the Prime Minister of New Zealand, Jacinda Ardern's Youth Program.
The Prime Minister also acknowledged that Stan was "unwell" in an Instagram post from the dinner.
She thanked the singer for joining them "despite being unwell".
The New Zealand-Australian singer was forced to cancel his 2016 tour as his mother, April, was recovering from breast cancer.
Fairfax Media previously reported Stan discovered he had inherited a rare cancer-causing mutation known as CDH1.
The mutation has reportedly caused the deaths of more than 25 members of his family.
