Actress Uma Thurman harbours a deep, dark addiction just like the rest of us mere mortals.

It seems the stunning 44-year-old just can’t say no to a new lippy – she has a staggering 8000 or so tubes of lipstick lying around her house.

That means even if the Kill Bill star wore a different lipstick every day, it would take her almost 22 years to get through her stash.

The mother-of-three, who stars in the new NBC family drama, The Slap, an American adaptation of the Australian series of the same name, fessed up her beauty secret to People magazine when asked about the last thing she misplaced.

Aside from understandably losing the odd tube of lipstick here and there, Thurman continued: “I don't use keys, so that doesn't really apply. And very rarely I misplace my sense of humour, but usually not.”

The Golden Globe winner and Academy Award nominee recently came under fire for her drastically different red-carpet look at the premiere of The Slap.

However, she laughed off surgery rumours and said it was a result of clever makeup.
