Tessa James is totally in love with the royal family

Former Home & Away star Tessa James made her debut at Royal Ascot in the U.K. on Tuesday as an official guest at the launch of the Longines Equestrian Collection in Australia.

Looking pretty in a chic white dress by Australian designer Ellery with a matching white Nerida Winter hat, the 25-year-old actress recently told Yahoo 7 Be that she was hoping to meet the Queen.

"I’ve never met a royal, so any royal would be amazing," she reveals.

"I’m just honoured to even be in the same sentence! Obviously the Queen is probably up there," she laughed.

"The royals are so involved with the racing and Ascot and I’m actually really excited to meet a lot of people from around the world and indulge in interesting conversations and it’s just a good opportunity for me to meet interesting people."

Hopefully Tessa did get to meet at least one Royal, as Kate Middleton, Queen Elizabeth II, Prince Harry, Princess Anne and other blue-blooded members of the famous British family were spotted at the prestigious event.

Earlier in the week the actress, who is currently travelling through Europe, appeared at the Longines Ladies Awards looking stunning in a blue and black floor-length gown, designed by Australian designer Michael Lo Sordo.

"I have been to London and Paris before – we also get to go to Switzerland and I haven’t been there before so I’m actually really excited about that," she added.

"The trip is about two weeks, which is nice, but you can always spend more time in Europe. I’m really excited to be working overseas in Europe, I think it will be a really special experience rather than just going for a holiday."
