EXCLUSIVE: David Brent's music video for 'Life on The Road'

Ricky Gervais’ latest project sees the star reprising his role as The Office’s narcissistic office manager David Brent.

The film picks up 15 years later, as David has left his office days behind to be a travelling salesman, as well as an aspiring rock star with his band Foregone Conclusion.

Be got our hands on the first full look at David’s new single from the film, ‘Life on The Road’, and it’s every bit bizarre as expected.

"Half a tank should get me to Milbank," he sings in the clip. "I fill her up and head down to Sidcup. It's just demeaning. It's only fleeting. It's just a pitch and then I'm off to Ipswich."

Yep, it's pretty much the best song EVER.

"Life on the road," he continues. "Don't need a heavy load. Foot down to the floor. 70 miles an hour. But no more."

Perfect.

The clip follows on from the release of the first single, ‘Lady Gypsy’, a folk song about David falling in love with a fellow traveller. Yep, it's just as weird.

Ricky Gervais also appeared on Sunday Night recently to reveal why he’s yet to visit our shores.

"You've got the most dangerous spiders...snakes…jellyfish, sharks, and you walk around in flip-flops!” he said. "Honestly, you're not selling it to me."

David Brent: Life on the Road, written, directed and starring Ricky Gervais, is in cinemas nationally on August 25.

To coincide with the release of David Brent: Life on the Road, the album - David Brent & Foregone Conclusion: Life on the Road (with all original music from the man himself) is on sale from August 19.
