Shannen Doherty 'I'll be dead in five years'

Shannen Doherty says she’s going to try and “enjoy every single second” amid cancer fight.

The New York Post reports that the former Beverly Hills 90210 star said in an interview with Entertainment Tonight that she and her husband Kurt Iswarienko aren’t taking anything for granted.

“I told him, ‘You need to enjoy every single second you have with me because I’m going to be dead in five years,’ and he just burst out in tears,” the actress said.

Doherty was diagnosed with breast cancer in February last year and has since revealed it has been detected in her lymph nodes.

"I had breast cancer that spread to the lymph nodes," the star added.

"And from one of my surgeries we discovered that some of the cancer cells might have actually gone out of the lymph nodes. So for that reason, we are doing chemo, and then after chemo, I'll do radiation."

Doherty, who famously fell out with most of her 90210 stars as well as Charmed co-star Alyssa Milano, says she has received messages of support from many of them since her diagnosis.

“I have heard from quite a few of my co-stars," she added. "They know who they are. I don’t feel like I need to point them out but I thank them from the bottom of my heart."
