"When paparazzi are following people home and are making them feel unsafe, that's bullying. Technically people get AVOs out for that sort of stuff," he said.

"There's all these horrible stories of following pregnant women in cars, and that's not trying to get a photo, that's harassment and that's where I draw the line."

Dan spoke about Sam Worthington's run-in with the paparazzi in 2014, which resulted in a physical fight. (The Avatar star punched a photographer in the face in New York after the paparazzi allegedly kicked his wife, Lara Bingle, in the shin.)

"When Sam Worthington had a bit of an outburst at paparazzi at his house because he didn't want people taking pictures of his baby or wife, I do get it," Dan says.

"Did he go about it the right way? Maybe not..."

The star did, however, admit it wasn't ALL paparazzo who acted out of line.

"Some paps are so lovely - I call them photographers - and some of them are just rude bullies, and that's not on."

The 31-year-old is currently starring in Aussie action flick Red Billabong, and is set to return to Summer Bay to reprise his role as Heath Braxton.
