Internet defends Malia Obama: "Let Malia live"

The internet has leapt to the defence of Malia Obama after she came under scrutiny for reportedly smoking weed at Lollapalooza music festival.

Her supporters have called for the media to leave her alone and let her life as an ordinary teenager.

Twitter has lit up with fans who demand tabloids to "Let Malia live".

At the same festival Malia also made headlines as she was caught "twerking" on camera.

Malia was spotted in a line-up at the festival and someone filmed her dancing with a friend.

Both her and her younger sister, Sasha (15), have grown up under a microscope since their father, Barack Obama was elected president of the United States in 2008.

But with his presidency coming to an end soon, perhaps the girls will -rightfully- be allowed to live a little.
