Footage from Roxy Jacenko’s breast cancer surgery revealed

Roxy Jacenko’s upcoming 60 Minutes documentary shows the moment surgeons remove her cancerous tumour.

In the 30-second promo, which was released this morning on the show’s social media, the 36-year-old PR guru looks calm while heading into surgery at a Sydney hospital to have the lump removed.

“I kept thinking at 40 is when you start worrying about breast cancer, even if it’s in your family,” she says.

Jacenko’s mum Doreen, who underwent a mastectomy a decade ago after being diagnosed with cancer herself, joins her daughter in the hospital.

“So you take out the lump and the surrounding tissue,” one surgeon can be heard telling the other doctors in the operating room in the clip.

Another surgeon then says he “can feel a very centrally placed cancer” before the scene cuts to black and white snap of the tumour after it’s been removed.

In a previously released clip from the the 60 Minutes show, Roxy can be seen in a hospital bed waiting to go into an operating theatre with Allison Langdon by her bedside.

The mother-of-two described herself as a 'single mum' in the interview and said that she doesn’t want to let her children down.

“It is what it is. I’m unfortunately the person who has got the cancer, my husband is in jail and I’m now a single mother,” she said on the program.

Roxy said that she and her husband don’t ‘discuss’ what happened, saying, “he’s got no reason to lie to me.”

The mum-of-two is currently in Hong Kong with her two children Pixie and Hunter.
