Alex's craziest moments on The Bachelor

So far on this season of The Bachelor no one has brought me greater joy than Alex Nation.

Don't get me wrong, she seems lovely and is obviously a great mother, but girlfriend needs to calm down. You can sense her desperation, you can see it in her crazy eyes. She also was a WILLING participate in that whole chocolate bath thing which is just weird. There's something running through her head that says she's the only girl for Richie so a strange competitive streak comes out in her. Unfortunately there are several other girls vying for his attention.

In a preview for tonight's episode, Alex cracks out the family album to show Richie her son, to which he freaks out. Because do you know who else whipped out the family album really prematurely? Kate Hudson's character Andy in How To Lose A Guy In 10 Days.

SO with that in mind, let's take a (reasonable short) trip down memory lane and relive some of Alex's craziest moments on The Bachelor.

1. Alex's photoshoot with Richie and basically any time she whipped out the white rose.

Alex was involved in the photoshoot during the first group date but because she had the white rose, she got her own one-on-one shoot with Richie. This is where we first say her crazy eyes. I mean sure they were posing, but look at the intensity! Right from the start she was keen show she's in competition for Richie. Which brings us to the white rose. Alex got the rose at the first cocktail party probably because Richie thought she was "gorgeous" or "beautiful" or whatever other word he uses to describe the girl. Either way this gave her the power to whip it out at any other cocktail party and steal him away for some one-on-one time. Usually when this happens all the other girls get annoyed but Alex gives zero bothers. She's here for the heart of Richie!

2. Alex's first solo date with Richie and THAT kiss.

Because "girls like shopping" (direct quote from The Bachelor himself), Richie took Alex dress shopping and then popped down to Double Bay for their first solo date. Alex was beside herself and giddy with excitement and she really wanted a pash from the pash-bandit himself, Richie. And boy did they pash. Unfortunately for us, we have been left with the mental scarring of this date. There's not much else to say about this, the picture pretty much speak for themselves.

3. Alex gets REALLY touchy-feely... While the other girls watch.

During a recent group date, Richie was blindfolded and the girls were let loose to touch him... More or less. The girls and Bachie took part in a compatibility test to see if they actually do have a future with Richie and apparently to find it out everyone needed to touch him. Alex went to town, which once again made for some VERY uncomfortable viewing. She touched his hair, she moved his hands to her waist, she very suggestively made him touch her lips. It was a lot. And everyone... And I mean EVERYONE could tell that she's in love with Richie. Especially all the girls back at the mansion who were watching this love-fest on a TV. This uncomfortable and cray moment also ended with the girls being annoyed at Alex.

4. Alex agreeing to the chocolate bath.

This fine Bachelor moment was likened to "soft-core porn" and made for some very uncomfortable viewing. After a second solo date with Richie, Alex was treated to a a bath of chocolate. Yep, that's right! 300 litres of melted chocolate for Richie and Alex to bathe in. It was weird and it's crazy Alex even agreed to go in it. Essentially, this is what they looked like.

5. Alex at EVERY cocktail party/rose ceremony.

At the end of every episode there's a particular way things always seem to go: Alex gets upset at the cocktail party, Alex questions her connection with Richie, Alex convinces herself she is going home, Alex cries, Alex gets a rose, Alex is happy again. It's a very long and drawn out process. The constant self-doubt and wondering about her connection leaves us all a bit bored. Alex also probably needs to realise she's not the only "girlfriend" Richie has at the moment. Will she be the only one at the end? Probably not. Her intensity is way too much and judging by Richie's reaction to the family album, he may decide against the instant family.
