Report: Richie and Alex have 'tied the knot in Bali'

After declaring his love for Alex Nation on last week's finale of The Bachelor, Richie Strahan was reportedly keen to show how committed he was by proposing to the single mother after the camera's stopped rolling.

According to New Idea, the couple were reportedly so serious to seal the deal that the 32-year-old rope access technician managed to find a local celebrant on the same night as the finale was filmed in Bali.

"He just didn't want to wait," an on-set insider told the magazine.

"He wanted to show Alex he was serious about her and their future and wanted to be her husband."

The source also told the mag Richie "wanted to keep the proposal private and wait until the cameras stopped rolling."

And if that wasn't enough, New Idea is also reporting the couple are now "trying for a baby" after deciding they didn't want to wait in starting a family.

Clearly they're in a rush!

Despite their reported eagerness, Richie is still yet to meet Alex's five-year-old son Elijah from her previous marriage to Joel Porter.

"That will come but we're not in any kind of rush," the 24-year-old told Mamamia.

"I don't think there is any reason to rush into something like that. Even though the show has finished and ended, that relationship would only be starting out in the real world."

With Richie based in Perth, Daily Mail Australia has reported that The Bachelor star his one-storey house for rent last week on Domain to join Alex in Melbourne.

Last week on The Project Alex said of the new couple’s living arrangement: “We're not in any rush, we're just excited to start this new chapter together."

“Obviously I have a little boy and his dad is in Melbourne as well, so it's definitely something Rich and I and Elijah's dad will have to discuss but at the moment, we're just enjoying each other and the start of this amazing chapter together.”

“You’re moving to Melbourne buddy, good luck,” The Project host Waleed Aly joked.
