Brad Pitt 'will fight for joint custody of the kids'

Brad Pitt won't go down in the divorce without a fight.

The 52-year-old star is seeking joint custody of his kids with Angelina Jolie.

Angelina has sought joint legal, but sole physical, custody of their six kids, 15-year-old Maddox, Pax, 12, Zahara, 11, Shiloh, 10, and twins Knox and Vivienne, eight, in her divorce petition, with Brad only getting visitation rights.

A source told TMZ Brad insisted: "There's no chance that's going to happen."

According to the insider, Brad thinks Angelina, 41, is a "great mother" but he won't allow her to "thwart" him.

It was rumoured that the Fight Club actor is "furious" that Angelina filed for divorce.

The actor claims Ange "unleashed hell on the family" by seeking sole custody of the children, and in doing so, inferred he was a "bad dad".

Brad reportedly blames Ange for "spinning stories that he poses a risk to their kids because of anger issues fueled by weed and alcohol".

However, a source close to the pair rubbished the allegations, saying: "Ange is a great mother and Brad is a very committed father and they both just want what is best for the kids."

They added: "Unfortunately, people are introducing baseless allegations as a way of trying to ratchet up negativity when in fact the two of them want to resolve this for their children.

"The point is that from him - and both of them - he went out of his way to make sure people around him are not being negative."

Angelina's longtime manager Geyer Kosinki told E! News: "Angelina is doing what's best in the interest of taking care of her children. She appreciates everyone's understanding of their need for privacy at this time."

Angelina filed for divorce from Brad on Monday after two years of marriage, citing irreconcilable differences.
