Alex confirms her son's STILL not met Richie

They've been a legit couple for a fair while now, but Alex Nation has revealed that her boyfriend Richie Strahan still hasn't met her son.

Sharing a photo of herself with her five-year-old Elijah on Instagram, Alex responded to a fan comment, confirming, "My two handsome boys are still yet to meet.

"However, I just know with my whole heart that Richie will be awesome. When Elijah meets Richie that will be a very special moment for us. It's something that we don't want to rush and it's important to us that we wait until the time is right."

She also used the post to compliment her love rival Nikki Gogan, insisting that she'd love Elijah to end up with someone like her when he's older.

In the adorable snap, Alex hugs Elijah as he holds out a rose, similar to those his mum received from Richie.

"Maybe Elijah will give Nikki her rose," one fan commented, to which Alex replied, "If Elijah was to meet someone like Nikki when he was older, I'd be pretty stoked."

Since winning Richie's heart during the finale of the reality show, the single mother has faced backlash for spending time with Richie while Elijah stays with his father Joel Porter during the school holidays.

Alex was seemingly the target of Joel's girlfriend, Ashy Smith, who appeared to take aim at the model's parenting skills in several Instagram posts, which have since been deleted.

Her former sister-in-law Kimberley Grace Porter also appeared to take a swipe on social media, posting on Ashy's Instagram, "I am so relieved my nephew finally has a loving, attentive, maternal figure at home."

Alex is now back in Melbourne after spending time with Richie in his hometown of Perth.
