Winners and Losers star Melanie Vallejo debuts baby on social media

Melanie Vallejo has shown off her adorable newborn Sonny, with the week-old infant making his social media debut.

The Winners and Losers actress cuddles up to her son, who is asleep on Melanie's chest in the sweet picture.

The 36-year-old and husband Matt Kingston welcomed their first child last Friday, with Melanie revealing her son arrived a week earlier than expected.

"Meet Sonny Kingston! After surprising us by arriving a week early, we've been busy getting to know each other... He's a little legend (sic)," she wrote alongside a photo of herself cuddling her new bundle of joy.

Melanie announced her pregnancy in July, much to the surprise of fans, after filming wrapped up on TV drama Winners and Losers.

"Surprise!! Here's what I've been up to since filming wrapped on @winnerslosers7 - my most exciting role to date!" Melanie wrote at the time, showing off her baby bump on social media.

Since bringing Sonny home Melanie and New Zealand-born Matt have already taken him for his first beach trip, sharing a photo of the new family trio enjoying a day by the water.
