Azealia Banks claims Russell hit on her before he 'switched'

Azealia Banks has shared her version of what she reckons happened inside Russell Crowe’s hotel room over the weekend… and it’s every bit as brutal as you’d expect from the outspoken rapper.

In a new interview with The Sun, the 25-year-old refers to the actor 'a racist, misogynist pig', and alleges he's been flirting with her before he 'switched', grabbed her by the throat, called her an 'n-word' and 'spat' on her.

“My femininity feels stained,” she tells the publication. “I feel stained as a woman, I feel mishandled, I feel mistreated, I feel dirty. I feel very f**king low.”

She also claims there was more than just lemonade and VB stubbies being passed around the Hollywood Hills party.

She tells the publication: “You know, moonshine, whisky, vodka, and smoking cigarettes and smoking weed."

What's more, she also suggests that Rusty was getting his flirt on.

“Russell and I get next to each other," she recalls. "He’s talking to me, I’m talking to him, and we start flirting. We’re having a really good time.

"He’s got his knee on my knee, he’s touching my leg, I’m playing him my music, he tweets my song 'The Big Big Beat'. He’s like, ‘I love this, you’re ­beautiful, this is great."

But according to Azaelia, things took a dark turn when someone at the party, who she thinks was Russell's girlfriend, then said, “Russell thinks you’re so hot."

The rapper says she then responded by declaring, “You know, I’m not here for that.”

Azealia says she then took aim at an "aspiring horror film director", which she claims annoyed Russell, who then began to berate her.

"Russell just kind of switched," she claims. "He was like, ‘Well you know what? You’re young and you’ve never done anything in your career so you don’t know what you’re ­talking about.’"

When another guest came to his defence, Azealia says she became locked in a heated argument with her.

She added to the publication: “I said, ‘Girl, this is not the right time or place for us to be fighting.

"Like, what would happen if I got up and I slapped the s*** out of you, or I took a glass and f***ing threw it at you and you were bleeding all over the place? I would be wrong and we’d all be wrong’.”

She then claims it was at that point Russell removed her from the room.

“He calls me a n **** and then grabs me, picks me up, he chokes me by the throat, picks me up, throws me out of the room and then spits on me."

This graphic story comes after Aussie comedian Jim Jefferies jumped to the defence of Russell, calling Azealia "a complete liar" for accusing him of choking her in the hotel room.

Jim, 39, tweeted: "Azelia [sic] Banks is a complete liar. I was in the room. Russell Crowe is completely innocent. I would take a lie detector."

This week, the claims arose that Russell was forced to kick the rapper out of his suite at Beverly Hills Hotel after she allegedly threatened to stab him and his friends.

But yesterday, TMZ reported that Azealia has contacted the Beverly Hills Police Department and filed a report about the incident, accusing the 52-year-old of battery.

Meanwhile, Rusty's reps reportedly say that he won't say sorry, as he insists he didn't do anything wrong.

Azealia then posted to Facebook to claim that she "has receipts" and to "stay tuned".

She later followed with a message to her fans that she'll be staying off some of her accounts for a while.

'Hi," she wrote. "I'm taking the day off from my shopify and depop because I'm really not doing well right now. I be back on it tomorrow. I hope you understand."

So what else is said to have gone down?

Well...According to TMZ, Azealia rocked up as rapper RZA’s plus one to a casual dinner at Rusty’s suite in the Beverly Hills Hotel on Saturday night.

But things soon turned sour when she reportedly started mocking his music selection, before calling him and at least one of the rest of the party of 10, "boring white men."

A female guest is said to have told Azealia to cool it, but instead of piping down, she allegedly went nuclear, threatening to stab everyone and dropping n-bomb after n-bomb.

"You would love it if I broke my glass, stabbed you guys in the throat, and blood would squirt everywhere like some real Tarantino s***,” she allegedly told the gathering, before reaching for her glass and cocking it back.

And that’s when Rusty apparently picked her up in a bear hug, carried her out of the room and had security remove her.

In a series of now-deleted posts, Azealia took to Facebook to give a seriously different version of events.

“To recap my night, I went to a party at Russell Crowe’s suite, at which he called me a n****r, choked me, threw me out and spat at me,” she wrote.

“Last night was one of the hardest nights of sleep I’ve had in a long time. The men in the room allowed it to happen. I feel terrible today.”

She later added, “And just weak as f**k man. I want to f**king die.

“Just feel so low and mishandled and alone and f**king depressed right now. I wish I had someone to beat him up for me.”

According to TMZ, four of the guests have given statements, describing Azealia’s behavior as ‘erratic’ and denying that Russell used the n-word.
