The Internet reacts to Karl’s post-split life

Celebs can’t do anything these days without the Internet's troll population putting in its two cents. They don’t call these people "keyboard warriors" for nothing!

The latest public figure to cop a cheeky belting is the Today Show’s Karl Stefanovic, 42, who was spotted at a yacht party with his rumoured new girlfriend Jasmine Yarbrough over the weekend.

The TV host split with 44-year-old Cassandra Thorburn, his wife of 21 years, in late 2016 and has been under major public scrutiny ever since.

His loved-up boat trip marks the first sign of PDA between Karl and Brisbane-born, LA-based model Jasmine, who at 33 is nine years Karl’s junior.

Once news of the alleged romance broke, the Internet blew up with hilarious commentary.

“How long before the Harley?” tweeted one bloke, apparently implying that Karl’s going through a mid-life crisis. “Nice belt buckle cowboy!” another commenter joked about Karl’s new look.

“Karl is going through his second childhood,” one woman pointed out.

With trolls like this around, it's little wonder Karl hasn’t gone near his own Twitter account since November last year!
