Mel Greig: 'My husband was unfaithful'

Mel Greig says her ex-husband Steven Pollock cheated on her with multiple women during the course of their relationship.

Appearing on Channel Seven's The Daily Edition on Thursday, the 34-year-old television and radio personality told the hosts: "My husband was unfaithful".

"I am aware of it, he is aware of it. He is sorry for it, he is not proud of it," she added.

Mel says since finalising her split with Steve two weeks ago several women have come forward claiming they had "liaisons" with Steve.

Mel's message to those hoping to "sell their story" is: "There is no point, leave it be. I am aware of it, let's move on".

Opening up about her decision to talk on air about what happened, Mel said: "It is hard. You put it out there and you put yourself out there thinking you can control the good.

"You need to be ready for the bad. I did not want to have to deal with that. I wanted to keep it private.

"I did not want to drag him through the mud. If someone wants to control my story, I don't want that. Now I am in a position where I need to talk about it."

In a recent Be column, Mel stated she had “unanswered questions” about Steven’ behaviour during their time together.

Approached for comment, the Wollongong radio host said, "I was made aware of some of the affairs and have been dealing with it in private the best I can.

"Our marriage was under a lot of stress at the time and I was heartbroken to discover that it wasn't as strong as I once thought.

“I don't think Steven is a bad person but I did deserve much more than that, I'm sure he has learnt from it and will put 100% commitment and honesty into his new relationship."

Mel's TV appearance follows an announcement from Steven on Thursday that he's in a new relationship.

Steven - who was with Mel through 2012’s royal prank scandal — is dating Kristen Whitaker, making their relationship status official on Facebook this week.
