YouTube star takes her own life

YouTube star Stevie Ryan has committed suicide at the age of 33 less than one week after revealing the death of her beloved grandfather.

The actress and comedian rose to fame through her viral videos and celebrity parodies.

Ryan wrote, edited and starred in the online films many of which went viral amassing millions of views.

"I remember waking up and one video had like 900 hits and I was like ‘Oh, my gosh. There’s people watching this?’ " Ryan told The Hollywood Reporter in 2012.

"And it just kept going and then I did this Paris Hilton thing and then it literally was just growing and growing. And I just became so obsessed with all of it."

Her talent soon attracted Hollywood bigwigs and she was given her own show on VH1 called Stevie TV.

The L.A Country Coroner's Office confirmed Ryan died on July 1.

The day before she passed away Ryan tweeted her despair at the loss of her grandfather.

She wrote: "The man of my dreams will now only be in my dreams. I’ll miss you every day, forever. I love you my Pa."
