Macklemore survives crash with drunk driver

Rapper Macklemore must be feeling rather Glorious today after walking away from a horrific head on collision completely 'unscathed.'

According to TMZ, the singer is 'lucky to be alive' after his Mercedes was hit head-on by an alleged drunk driver in a pickup truck.

The report said the incident happened at 11pm on Friday 28th July on a remote island town 90 minutes north of Seattle.

According to police, the pickup driver was rounding a bend when he crossed into oncoming traffic and hit Macklemore's car, which also had two passengers inside.

Luckily it appears everyone escaped relatively unharmed, with only one passenger being treated for a minor cut.

Still, it must have been terrifying for the 34-year-old, who is a dad to daughter Sloane, two.

Macklemore, whose real name is Ben Haggerty, has been open about his own battle with alcohol in the past.

Despite relapsing in 2013 during his sudden success of his LP with Ryan Lewis, The Heist, he has been sober since his wife Tania became pregnant with their daughter.
