Blake's creepy habit while dating Leo

They had a fleeting romance, but Blake Lively was creative when it came to communicating with then-fling Leonardo DiCaprio.

Despite their romance starting in the days before the likes of Instagram and Snapchat, the actress used to documented her days in a very... unique way that included a doll. Yes that's right, Blake cracked out the Barbie dolls.

After Gossip Girl filming moved from New York to LA, Blake would take snaps for Leo using a doll, proving she was well and truly ahead of the curve when it came to taking photos to document your life!

"We learned a lot from Blake. When I think about shooting the L.A. episodes, Blake was dating [DiCaprio] at the time, and she had this thing where she had a doll that she took photos of that she sent to Leo," Gossip Girl executive producer John Safran told Vanity Fair, during an interview about the show's 10 year anniversary.

"Blake was way ahead of the curve. It was pre-Instagram. She was documenting her life in photographs in a way that people were not yet doing."

And while their romance didn't last beyond a year, Blake went on to marry her own Gossip Girl-worthy hottie Ryan Reynolds. Oh and she also signed up to Instagram and continues to share photos of her glam, Serena-like life.
