Michael Hutchence doco to reveal unseen family videos
The “why” behind Michael Hutchence’s tragic death may finally be answered in a new Channel Seven documentary Michael Hutchence: The Last Rockstar.
The documentary is set to reveal never-seen-before personal family videos, unreleased music and the final words he wrote from the night he passed away, which can be seen in the trailer above.
U2 frontman Bono even appears in the biopic saying in the trailer: “He was amazing and interesting and then tragic. We’re all realising just how great a singer we lost as well as a friend.”
Executive Producer of the doco Mark Llewellyn told Yahoo TV: “This is not Michael Hutchence defined by how he died, but by how he lived: a brilliant musician, a brilliant man, a loving father, a true rockstar.”
“Michael left more questions than answers when he left us,” the producer said. “This documentary will provide those answers and much, much more.”

An extensive investigation was undertaken by Seven News to complete the documentary spanning over two years and taking place in five countries over four different continents.
The legendary singer tragically took his own life back in 1997 at just 37.
The documentary is set to air in November on Channel Seven just ahead of the 20th anniversary of his death.
