Reality star defends 'amazing friend' Jeremy Piven

Former Real Housewives star Joanna Krupa has come to the defence of her "amazing friend" Jeremy Piven in the wake of the sexual harassment claims made against him.

The reality star voiced her opinions after actress, Ariane Bellamar, took to Twitter to claim the 52-year-old Golden Globe winner groped her on the set of hit HBO series Entourage.

"[Jeremy Piven]'s like the nicest f**king guy I've ever met, so I think people are taking advantage of the whole situation with [Harvey] Weinstein," the 38-year-old told The Blast. "They're trying to make a living or they're trying to get famous."

"Jeremy never did anything wrong to me," the model added. "He's always been an amazing friend to me, so I support him."

Joanna also addressed the Harvey Weinstein scandal saying she never had "any issues with him" either.

She said Jeremy "cornered her" in his trailer and fondled her "breasts and bum".



Piven made a statement not long after stating he denied the claims made against him.

“I unequivocally deny the appalling allegations being peddled about me," he said in a statement released to Deadline on Wednesday.

“It did not happen," he continued. "It takes a great deal of courage for victims to come forward with their histories, and my hope is that the allegations about me that didn’t happen, do not detract from stories that should be heard.”

Jeremy is the latest actor to be accused of misconduct amidst the sexual abuse scandal that is sweeping Hollywood, which started when the New York Times published an exposé on Harvey Weinstein which claimed he committed multiple sexual offences against women over a 30-year period.

Most recently, House of Cards actor Kevin Spacey was accused of molesting then 14-year-old actor Anthony Rapp.

Spacey said he did not remember the incident that would have occurred 30 years ago, but his Netflix show has been axed as a result.
