J.Law's 'horrible' film affected relationship

Jennifer Lawrence has revealed the flop of her latest movie mother! affected her relationship with the film's director Darren Aronofsky.

The 27-year-old said finding out the flick was critically panned via Twitter was "horrible" and the numerous bad reviews ultimately took their toll.

"It was horrible. It was really bad. I loved this so much, and it just broke my heart, especially for Darren [Aronofsky] because he loved this person," Jennifer said during a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter. "And any time you’re in a relationship, their pain is your pain."

J.Law and her 48-year-old former beau split back in October after a year of dating. Last month People reported the flop of mother! caused a strain too great for the pair to overcome and contributed to their break-up.

The Hunger Games star continues, saying the disappointment of the movie failing has been hard to overcome.

"I’ve been probably more insecure after last year, and I don’t know if that’s just a feeling of: I’ve got more to lose, I have more people to disappoint. I don’t know how to explain it," she added.

However J.Law is ready to move on, also opening up about her upcoming project Red Sparrow, and how she approached the overtly sexual role after a series of nude photos of her were leaked in 2014 when her iCloud account was hacked.

"Red Sparrow was sexual, and I haven’t done anything sexy or sexual," she continued to The Hollywood Reporter.

"I’ve been afraid of that since 2014, when I got my pictures hacked. I just thought, 'I’ll never do that again. I’ll never share that part of myself ever since it got shared against my will.' And then when I said yes to Red Sparrow, I felt I was taking something back."

And while some time has passed since the hack of her private photos, the star added it's something she is still impacted by.

"I have such fear with my phone and my computer and electronics. It’s taking somebody’s intellectual property but also my body. It was violating on a sexual level."
