Julia Stiles shares cute Heath Ledger fact
Believe it or not, it's been nearly 20 years since 10 Things I Hate About You was released and now Julia Stiles has opened up about what it was like to work alongside the late Heath Ledger in the teen flick.
As the 10th anniversary of the actor's death approaches, the 36-year-old actress has revealed a cute fact about what he'd do while filming to keep everyone smiling on the set.
"He was always a delight," Julia told news.com.au. "He had a didgeridoo he’d bring with him and he’d play every day... I’d never seen one before, it was such a novelty."
Turns out Heath was more than just a beautiful face.
Sharing a further titbit, Julia revealed some of the young cast, which included Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Larisa Oleynik, hooked up while filming the 1999 flick.
"Of course there was," she added to the outlet, although stopped short of naming names.
"You get a bunch of young people together, you’re having a lot of fun. We were at a time in our lives when we were still open and uncensored, and un-self-conscious - it was fun."
Ah the days of no social media...
At the time the cast was relatively unknown, except for Joseph Gordon-Levitt, who had already found success in sitcom Third Rock From The Sun.
Heath, then 28, died on January 22 2008 from an accidental overdose.
Following his role in 10 Things I Hate About You the Perth-born actor went on to star in 19 movies, and won a posthumous Oscar for his critically acclaimed role as Joker in The Dark Knight.
