Lorde slammed for announcing gig in Israel
Singer Lorde has ruffled feathers over the latest dates in her Melodrama World Tour, by adding Tel Aviv in military occupied Israel.
Fans criticised the Royal songstress over her choice to perform in the oppressed country, with many taking to social media to express their "disappointment" in the 21-year-old.
"Don't play in Tel Aviv while they have the Palestinians under a brutal occupation!," one user wrote on Twitter. "Very disappointed in you! Boycott Israel!"
One user even started their own hashtag, calling for the pop star not to go ahead with the tour date.

Lorde hasn't yet responded to the pleas of her fans, but not all were against the show.
"This is music, this is art," one fan offered in support. "Boycotting art in Israel will not solve the situation, it will just make it a lot more sad and miserable."
"She's doing this for the fans," another said. "Please leave politics out of this thank you."
The Kiwi singer made the tour addition after DJ Annie Goh and Pink Floyd's Roger Waters joined the Boycott Divestment Sanctions Movement.
The campaign has seen many artists take a stand against Israel's oppression of Palestinians.
