Jen Aniston skips Golden Globes red carpet as Angelina brings son Pax

This year's Golden Globes marks the first time Jennifer Aniston and Angelina Jolie have attended the same Hollywood event since Ange's split from Brad Pitt.

However, Jen was nowhere to be seen on the red carpet as Angelina posed up a storm in a statement black gown.

Perhaps it was to avoid an awkward run-in?

Angelina, 42, brought her 14-year-old son Pax Jolie-Pitt as her date.

Jen, 48, eventually made an appearance as she presented the award for Best Performance by an Actress in a Drama TV Series with Carol Burnett.

Elisabeth Moss won the accolade for her role in The Handmaid's Tale.

Jen and Angelina have only attended two of the same Hollywood events since Jen's 2005 split from Brad.

The actresses both attended the Critics’ Choice Awards in 2015 and before that they were both at the Oscars in 2009.

Angelina and Brad went public with their relationship shortly after Jen's divorce from the actor after meeting on the set of Mr and Mrs Smith.

Dubbed "Brangelina" the couple eventually married in 2014, only to announce they were separating in September 2016.

Brad and Ange have six children together Maddox, 16, Pax, 14, Zahara, 12, Shiloh, 11, and nine-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne.
