Viewers did a double take whilst watching the 75th Golden Globe awards on Sunday night after mistaking actor Chris Hemsworth for Brad Pitt.

Angelina Jolie and Aussie hunk Chris were seated next to each other at the same table during the event and when the camera panned over the stars, viewers were shocked at the striking resemblance between the two Hollywood hunks.

Fans were quick to tweet about the uncanny similarities with one user saying, "Chris Hemsworth is the young Brad Pitt."

Another posted, "Did anyone else think Chris Hemsworth looked like Brad Pitt sitting next to Angelina Jolie for a split second?".

The pair looked comfortable and cosy while sitting next to each other, where director Taika Waititi and Jolie's son Pax, 14, also joined them.

Chris' wife Elsa Pataky commented on the director's Instagram post of the above snap writing, “What a great couple! I mean you boys!" clearly throwing shade at Jolie. Awks.

Chris, 34, who calls Australia home, is married to Spanish actress Elsa and the pair share three children together, India-Rose, five, and Tristan and Sasha, three.

It comes after new reports emerged from NW magazine, that Ange is moving in on Chris according to an insider.

"Ange has had a crush on Chris for a while," the source revealed.

"He's just like Brad...and she's obsessed with him, she gone out fo her way to watch his films, and thinks he's absolutely gorgeous," they continued.
