Seal denies TV star's sexual battery claims
Seal has denied the allegations of sexual battery made by a British TV star against him, as police confirm they are investigating the claims.
Actress Tracey Birdsall told TMZ that the singer, who was her neighbour in LA in 2016, lunged at her during a visit to his home and tried to forcibly kiss her.
But a spokesperson for the Kiss From A Rose singer told the outlet it is a claim he wholeheartedly refutes.
“Seal vehemently denies the recent allegations made against him by a former neighbour for alleged misconduct more than a year ago," it read. "He intends to vigorously defend himself against these false allegations.”
Tracey, 54, had earlier accused The Voice host of forcing himself on her, saying he belittled her and groped her breasts when she rejected his advances.
"What are you doing?!" she reportedly said during the incident to which she says he said, "I'm kissing you!"
She goes on to claim he then insulted her outfit, a tank top and shorts, and insinuated she was "asking for it" as he then groped her.
The allegations come just days after Seal lashed out at the entertainment industry, in light of the sex scandal that has gripped the world.
He received a huge backlash for his comments — which appeared to call out talk-show host Oprah Winfrey for her Golden Globes speech — saying it was not an attack on her, but rather the industry in general.
