The most awkward Grammys red carpet interview

The Grammy Award for the most awkward red carpet interview of 2018 goes to rapper Lil Uzi Vert.

While gracing the red carpet with his entourage, the hip hop star stopped to chat to Giuliana Rancic.

And we have to say it was a bit like drawing blood from a stone for the E! presenter.

Giuliana asked the 23-year-old, who is nominated for two Grammys, how he was feeling to be on the red carpet and he said he felt totally "normal".

The interviewer then went on to ask how he would celebrate if he won and his response was rather nonchalant.

"If I win, I'm just gonna think about everything I'm gonna buy the next day," he said. "Shopping."

What a celebration that will be, Uzi.

If that wasn't wild enough, the rapper revealed what is first on his list to buy.

He revealed he's going to splash out on some designer goods from the new Gosha Rubchinskiy collab with Burberry.

However, the best part of the whole interview was Giuliana's final question to Lil Uzi Vert.

"What's next for you?" she asked.

And you'd presume for him to answer something about his career, what his next music move is, something along those lines. Wrong.

The rapper revealed he was looking forward to breakfast the next morning.

"Wakin' up, eatin' some poptarts," Lil Uzi replied.

And of course, as you'd expect, social media has gone into meltdown with his reply.
