Uma Thurman blames Weinstein for Kill Bill crash cover up

Uma Thurman has released frightening video footage of her car crashing on the set of Kill Bill in 2002, and blames the film's producers - which included Harvey Weinstein - for taking part in a 'malicious' cover up.

The actress released the footage on Instagram saying "the circumstances of this event were negligent to the point of criminality".

The video shows Thurman driving a convertible before she loses control of the car, crashing into a tree.

Her body is seen flying forward on impact, and then slumping to the side before someone rushes to her aid.

In a recent interview with the New York Times, Thurman claims she was uncomfortable filming the scene and that a crew member had hinted to her that the convertible she was driving was not up to scratch.

She confronted director Quentin Tarantino about her concerns, but says she was pressured to continue shooting the scene.

Thurman claims the crash left her with a "permanently damaged neck" and "screwed-up knees".

In her recent Instagram post, the actress takes some of the blame away from Tarantino saying he was 'deeply regretful and remains remorseful' about the event and provided her with the footage to 'expose it'.

On the other hand, she states the 'cover up after the fact is unforgivable'.

"For this I hold Lawrence Bender, E. Bennett Walsh, and the notorious Harvey Weinstein solely responsible," the 47-year-old states in her post.

She adds that they 'lied' and 'destroyed evidence'.

In her interview with the New York Times, Thurman also alleges that disgraced Hollywood producer Weinstein sexually assaulted her.

“He pushed me down. He tried to shove himself on me,” Thurman says. “He tried to expose himself. He did all kinds of unpleasant things. But he didn’t actually put his back into it and force me."
