The most memorable Oscars moments ever

The Academy Awards have brought us some mega moments over the years, from moving acceptance speeches like Angelina Jolie's back in 2002 Girl, Interrupted and surprise wins, like when 11-year-old Anna Paquin was awarded the best supporting actress title for her role in The Piano in 1994.

And of course, there are those awkward shots of the stars when they lose out yet still have to smile and congratulate their competition.

Everyone has a different take on the most memorable Oscar moments of all time, but here are Be's top unforgettable picks.

When JLaw stacked it collecting her trophy for Best Actress in Silver Linings Playbook in 2013.

It was the most talked about moment of that year but also arguably of all time, but thankfully Jen handled it like an absolute pro, even giving cameras a thumbs up as she hid her head in her hand.

The now 27-year-old revealed after that the reason for her embarrassing trip was because she forgot the advice her stylist gave her about how to walk in her epic Dior Couture white gown.

"As I started to walk up the stairs and the fabric from my dress tucked under my feet." she told W Magazine. "I realised my stylist had told me, 'Kick, walk, kick, walk.'"

Explaining she forgot 'you are supposed to kick the dress out while you walk' she won the hearts of millions around the world for being totally real.

Oops.

Another of highlight in Oscar history has to be THAT selfie, starring more than a couple of our favourite Hollywood stars.

When Ellen DeGeneres hosted the glitzy award show in 2014, we knew the show was going to be fun.

She took things to the next level when she walked into the celebrity filled crowd and took a selfie, cramming Bradley Cooper, Jennifer Lawrence, Meryl Streep, Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie, Julia Roberts, Kevin Spacey, Lupita Nyong'o and her brother, the side of Jarred Leto's face and Channing Tatum.

Ellen, now 60, later joked that Bradley Cooper needed a 'longer arm' so more celebs could have been involved. Just imagine.

It later went on to become the most retweeted image of all time on Twitter, catapulting it straight to the top of our all time faves.

Not all the memories are happy ones though, with last year's winner mix-up going down for being completely awkward.

Last year, the biggest blunder in Oscars history unfolded when La La Land was wrongly announced as the 2017 Best Picture instead of rightful winner, Moonlight.

Actor Warren Beatty who made the mistake later said he was given an envelope containing the wrong card, which was what caused the confusion reigned.

It was cleared up when La La Land producer Jordan Horowitz stepped forward to correct the error, but not before the whole crew from the musical starring Emma Stone and Ryan Gosling had poured onstage.

"I'm sorry, no, there's a mistake," he told the stunned crowd, before turning to the cast of the rival film. "Moonlight, you guys won best picture. This is not a joke. I'm afraid they read the wrong thing."

It was a group of unsuspecting tourists that stole the show last year though, when host Jimmy Kimmel arranged for them to crash the Oscars.

Throughout the course of the event the star-studded audience had been following a bus load of people as they took in the sights of LA, before stopping of for an exhibition at the Dolby Theatre.

They appeared stunned when they realised they were actually in the middle of the Oscars, getting to stand at the front alongside the likes of Nicole Kidman, Keith Urban and Ryan Gosling.

After there were conspiracy theories that those involved were actors, something which has never been proven.

Even if they were extras, we're sure it was still the experience of a lifetime and will never be forgotten.
