If you've ever wanted to figure out your tolerance level with horror movies, then take a look at our top ten scary movies of all time.

So buckle up and get ready for the fright-fest of your life!

Starting straight in at number 10 is cult classic The Exorcist. The retro film deals with a terrifying story of the demonic possession of a 12-year-old girl and her poor mum's desperate attempts to win back her child through an exorcism conducted by two priests.

Despite being released in 1974, the movie still competes with its modern rivals thanks to spine chilling lack of music in the movie, except for a few very creepy piano sequences. *shivers*

Now we've wet your appetite, we hope you're hungry for some more horror as next up is The Grudge, starring Buffy's Sarah Michelle Gellar.

The creepy AF storyline revolves around a venegeful curse that has a supernatural strength to kill. It is then reborn repeatedly, passed from victim to victim in an endless chain of horror.

Though it was a relatively low budget movie, it had a huge success at the box office in 2004 and has just recently been confirmed by Hollywood execs as a movie they'll be rebooting.

Can you hack the horror?

Next up is TheConjuring, which is adapted from the real-life stories of American paranormal investigators, Ed and Lorraine Warren.

This is up there when it comes to fear-factor because of the authenticity of the storyline, which sees Ed and Lorraine go to help a family who are experiencing disturbing events in their home.

Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga star as the demonologists who try to step in and stop the hauntings.

It's a stomach churner that stars, Game ofThrones actress Essie Davis.

This is sure to leave you checking under your bed each night for monsters.

If you've made it this far, we have to admit we're impressed, but brace yourself as the crème de la crème certainly aint for the faint hearted.

The newest movie on our list is this year's highly anticipated Annabelle Creation, the prequel to the door slammingly good horror movie, Annabelle.

Dubbed a 'storm of terror' by critics, the movie is set to be released on August 10 - so be sure to check it out if you're in the moody to be scared witless.

If demon dolls aren't enough to have you quaking in your boots, then you need to give IT a go.

Based on Stephen King's novel about a demonic clown that is terrorising unsuspecting kids, this story is credited with creating the original creepy clown and giving kids around the world nightmares.

The 1990's film was so popular with horror aficionados, it was recently remade and went on to win a highly regarded award in the industry for best horror.

We bet you can't make it through the 1997 psychological thriller, Funny Games. It's top of our list for a reason! GULP.

The story is about two violent young men who take a family hostage in their holiday cabin and force them to play sadistic "games" with one another for their own amusement.

One of the main reason it's top of our creep-fest list is because of it's ability to blur the line between fiction and reality. This seriously feels like it could happen to anyone and is enough to make your stomach churn.
