Exclusive: Kelly Rowland wanted to be in Ocean's 8

It’s no secret that The Voice coach Kelly Rowland is a powerful superwoman – the 37-year-old singer lends her talent and her mama–bear nature to #TeamKelly on the Channel Nine show.
But what if she had been offered a role in the new Ocean’s 8 film to play a bad-ass female mastermind?
Kelly revealed exactly what would have happened, exclusively to Be.
“I didn’t get the call this time,” Kelly laughed.
“I would’ve definitely done it. I mean to sign up with some powerful women like these women, absolutely.”

Ocean’s 8, which premiered at Bondi Event Cinemas in Sydney on Tuesday, stars some of the most well–known actresses of our generation.
Sandra Bullock, Cate Blanchett, Sarah Paulson, Rihanna, Mindy Kaling, Anne Hathaway, Helena Bonham Carter and Awkwafina make up the coveted eight.
“All of them are true bad asses, I mean I’ve already been a fan of Sandra Bullock, Anne Hathaway and I’m excited to see Rihanna in this role,” Kelly said. “They’re all wonderful actors. Definitely some faces I’m excited to see.”
The ex-Destiny’s Child singer arrived at the premiere with some of the incredible singers on her team, and Kelly said it was good for them to have some time out to enjoy.
“They’re always in rehearsals and practising and that is a part of being Team Kelly,” she said. “But I wanted to bring them with me so we could just chill out tonight.”
