Myer's new Olympian ambassador is a major babe

With names like Jennifer Hawkins, Rachel Finch and Kris Smith among Myer’s ranks, the department store’s ambassador list reads like a who’s who of the Australian social scene.

But now Myer have added a new, lesser known - but perhaps even more deserving - name to their books, Cameron McEvoy.

If you’re unfamiliar with the name then we’ll fill you in; Cameron is a swimming champion headed for the RiO Olympics to represent Australia. Oh yeah, and he’s also super hot. And smart.

As well as extensively training for the games, Myer's new 22-year-old ambassador is completing an undergraduate in physics and applied mathematics at Griffin University. And somehow, the triple threat has managed to find time to model for Myer as well, saying that he’s welcoming modelling as a distraction from his day to day schedule.

“To be able to take a step away into another area of life which is completely different, it’s refreshing for my mind and is good motivation,” he told the Daily Telegraph..

The Myer campaign is set for release shortly after the Olympics take place in which McEvoy will be representing Australia in the 50m, 100m, 200m freestyle and team relay events.

But, while his girlfriend, Violet Atkinson, is super excited about McEvoy's achievements in the pool, the swimmer admits it was the modelling gig that she was particularly thrilled about.

“She’s a fashion fanatic and a lawyer specialising in intellectual property in fashion so when I told her (about the Myer campaign) she almost died,” he said.
