However instead of reacting with warmth at her husband’s show of affection, Melania instead appears to flinch and look downwards.
Her action has raised concern amongst the people of Twitter, who believe Melania shuddered at the touch of Trump.
"It is likely fear caused by a controlling gesture. However, it COULD be something else. Unexpected touches make me flinch/jump," a user said, after the video was posted online by Twitter user Jess Deck.
The video comes after a family member reportedly told US Weekly that Melania is struggling to cope with her role and all the responsibilities that come with it.
“This life wasn’t her dream. It was Donald’s,”, stylist Phillip Bloch said.
“Truthfully, it’s a lot to cope with.”
Melania also appeared uncomfortable in a video that surfaced from Trump’s inauguration, showing the President turning around to his smiling wife before her face dropped after something he said.
It’s reported that Melania met millionaire Trump back in 1998, just two years after she had moved from Slovenia to New York.
The pair were married in 2005 and welcomed their first son, Baron, into the world in 2006.
