This is officially the world's most beautiful restaurant

They say you eat with your eyes, so make it a meal to remember at the restaurant which has just been crowned the most beautiful in the world.

Open since November 2015, London's German Gymnasium took out the Best Overall Restaurant gong at the Restaurant & Bar Design Awards.

The beautiful space is found in King's Cross, in a newly renovated building that was the first purpose-built gym in England and hosted the indoor events for the London Olympic Games in 1866.

Now airy, light and boasting an al fresco terrace, patisserie, café and bar, this Conran & Partners eatery has kept its original features updated for a modern feel.

Hot tip: make sure you’re around at 4pm. This is when the café practices the German tradition of Kaffee und Kuchen with cakes and pastries from the patisserie display available.
