Grant Denyer caught in 'naked scandal'

TV host Grant Denyer is on the final countdown to the Logies next week, where he’s nominated for a prestigious Gold award.

But now the former Family Feud presenter has been embroiled in a nude photo scandal that he fears could hinder his chances at winning – or at least that’s what he wants you to think.

Taking to his social media pages, the 2DayFM presenter defended a nude photo, which appears to be of him paddleboarding in his birthday suit, and he suggested one of his rivals had “leaked” the snap.

“Some of u may have seen a private photo of me paddle boarding with Katie [sic] Perry. I do NOT approve,” he wrote on Twitter.

“This is clearly an attempt to smear my good name before the Logies,” he continued. “I do not know who released it but I can only assume it was Tracy Grimshaw.”

Of course the whole thing is actually just a cheeky joke created by Grant’s radio co-hosts Em Rusciano and Ed Kavalee to promote his Gold Logie campaign.

Ed told their listeners that Grant was “too squeaky clean” so they decided to give him a leg up in his bid for gold.

“You are too squeaky clean and we’ve decided to go for a nude photo scandal,” he said, much to Grant’s horror.

“This is where I regret handing the reins of this campaign over to you,” the 40-year-old said. “Because I think this is a step too far.”

However Em, 39, was in Ed’s corner, telling Grant he definitely needed to hit the headlines for something shocking.

“We need to make you sexy and relevant,” she teased.

It was at this point that Ed unveiled the nude photo he was going to leak, revealing the photoshopped image of Grant onto the infamous snap of Katy Perry paddle boarding alongside her naked beau, Orlando Bloom.

While Tracy Grimshaw – who is also up for Gold this year – has yet to comment, we’re sure she’s in hysterics like the rest of us.
