Ivana Trump hits out at Melania again as feud continues
Ivana Trump has added more fuel to the fire of her ongoing public spat with Melania in another TV interview where she claimed the first lady ‘went bananas’.
Donald Trump's first wife Ivana and his current wife Melania have been going blow for blow ever since Ivana came out saying she was the ‘real first lady’.
Despite Melania issuing a statement on the matter in October, the feud between the two women doesn’t appear to be anywhere near over.
Speaking on The Ray D’Arcy Show this week, Ivana said Melania “went bananas” over her previous statement.
“I said I’m first Trump lady. And first lady went bananas over it. I have no idea how it sparkled. I have no idea why, but I am definitely first Trump lady,” she said.
“I was married to Donald. I have three kids with him, and I have no idea why she resents it.”
Ivana did however appear to be over discussing the topic when she added “who cares”, but not before one last jab.
When asked if she thinks Melania is doing a good job, she replied: “I think she’s trying her best.”
The feud all started when Ivana appeared on ABC's Good Morning America, to promote her new book called ‘Raising Trump’, where she said she often calls Trump in the White House.
"I have the direct number to White House but I don't really want to call him there because Melania is there and I don't really want to cause any kind of jealousy or something like that because I'm basically first Trump wife, OK? I'm first lady, OK?" she said.
Melania snapped back last week in a statement released to CNN by her communications director, Stephanie Grisham, saying she is “honoured by her role as first lady of the United States”.
“She plans to use her title and role to help children, not sell books.
"There is clearly no substance to this statement from an ex, this is unfortunately only attention-seeking and self-serving noise."
