Kerri-Anne Kennerley and John celebrate 32nd anniversary in hospital

Kerri-Anne Kennerley paid tribute to her husband John on their 32nd wedding anniversary with a sweet snap of her by his hospital bed.

“We have had a wonderful 32 years together. Can’t wait until he comes home at the end of the year,” she captioned on an Instagram pic of them together.

The pair celebrated their special day in a Sydney hospital, where John is being treated for a spinal chord injury, following a freak accident in March.

The TV star's life was turned upside down when her husband John broke his neck after a fall at Coffs Harbour golf course.

They had been playing golf and were having a photo with fans before John slipped off a balcony and fell head first to the ground.

He was in intensive care at the Royal North Shore Hospital in Sydney, before undergoing rehab at the Prince of Wales hospital.

In an interview with TheFix last month, Kerri-Anne revealed John, 75, is currently having rehab.

"He's working really hard at rehab, at Prince of Wales hospital," the 62-year-old said.

"He'll be there till the end of the year. He came home for an hour a couple of weeks ago with the occupational therapists who come into your home and advise you on how to make your home wheelchair and disabled friendly."

Kerri-Anne admitted on Seven’s Sunday Night in April that she has accepted her husband may never fully recover.

Kerri-Anne broke down during the interview when talking about John.

“My life, as I knew it, is over,” she said. “That was history. This is now a new life. Because he is my priority.”

"[The progress] is very slow. But he's with us and I'm grateful for that. And the people at Prince of Wales are just fabulous."
