Lady Kitty Spencer had the most elegant response to this body shamer

She looks happy, healthy and is pretty much living the dream as we huddle miserably into our winter woolies, but British socialite Lady Kitty Spencer has been targeted by body shamers after posting a pic of her on holiday in the South of France.

Princess Diana’s niece posted the snap of her reclining poolside in a white bikini, only to have follower Iutizefa criticise her figure, with the comment: “Lay off the cake, darling. You're too fat.”

The body confident 24-year-old wasn’t going to let that slide though, hitting back with a classy comeback.

“I'm sorry that you feel the need to post nasty comments under photographs of people you don't know @iutizefa - I've yet to see unkind behaviour do any good in the world X,” wrote Kitty.

For Kitty, who is cousin to Prince William and Harry, weight has never been an issue thanks to a healthy upbringing.

“There were never any scales in the house and no emphasis on weight at all,” she says. “I’m grateful that Mum protected me from that pointlessness. I don’t think I could ever care about that stuff if I wanted to; it’s too boring.”

And with 33,000 followers on Instagram, being a good role model on social media is something she’s very much aware of.

“Younger girls think that’s reality and something that they can strive for, and if they fall short of that then they’ve somehow failed,” she says.
