Nadia Bartel hits out at child-free holiday critics
With a cocktail in hand and stunning turquoise water at her feet, fashion blogger Nadia Bartel shouldn’t have a care in the world as she enjoys a Maldives getaway with her ex-AFL star husband Jimmy.
Instead the mum was forced to address criticism over the fact she left her two-year-old son Aston at home with his grandparents.
The controversy kicked off when one Instagram follower claimed they didn’t know how Nadia did it.
“I could not leave my kid behind and go on holiday,” they wrote.
The Chronicles of Nadia star soon hit back, revealing it’s the first time the couple have left their son in two years.
“So you would never go on a trip without your baby?” she wrote.
“I miss him like crazy but I think it’s important to have time with just us too, this is the first time we have left him in 2 years, but I don’t need to explain myself to you as I normally don’t reply to fake accounts like yours.”
Some of Nadia’s 392,000 Instagram followers leapt to her defence as well, telling people to mind their own business.
“Stop being so ridiculous,” wrote one. “You don’t need to take a baby so far, they need their own time, your just jealous you can't do it.”
“I think people seem to think they can have an opinion on just about everything personal in people’s lives,” added another.
“Quite honestly I think they would well to get back in their box and shut the F... up and mind their own business!!!”
