Toddler reading a bedtime story to her pet pit bulls is adorable

"This is reality," the mother says in the video as she films her two-year-old son, River Bearde, reading a bedtime story to their pet pit bulls.

"Who are you reading to?" River's mum Jenna asks her son. "Ronnie," he replies.

Lying on their backs, legs up and eyes heavy, the sleepy pooches, Ronnie and Macy, look like they're in heaven as the little boy recounts the children's book Farm Friends Giant Flap to them.

According to the Daily Mail, the mum found the inseparable trio lying together on the bed with their heads plonked on the pillows.

Jenna claimed River refused to be read to until he finished reading the story to his pups.

Conveniently, as River neared the end of the story, Ronnie and Macy were knocked out cold with their eyes completely shut, sound asleep.

Jenna then began to read the same story to her son, and in no time, he too had fallen asleep.

And they all lived happily ever after.
